We were so excited to build up this partnership with the Hercules Trophy . We experienced the Hercules Trophy live last year where we clearly saw how well the event aligns with the Society’s emphasis on leading healthy lifestyles to reduce the risk of cancer,” adds Carla Sterling, senior director of community engagement for the American Cancer Society.  “Our corporate supporters are always looking for new and exciting things to do with their employees. With Hercules Trophy, we can provide a platform for corporate team building while supporting important programs and services for cancer patients. This is the only event of its kind in the USA, and we are delighted to become such a close partner and have the opportunity to raise even more funds for ACS this year.”

This year, nearly half of the team registration fees will be donated to the American Cancer Society. On top of that, the teams will be challenged to raise funds for the American Cancer Society through their public page. There will also be teams of American Cancer Society volunteers and staff competing. Finally, ACS will bring volunteers as crew members of the Hercules Trophy Challenge,” says Yves Vekemans, founder of the Hercules Trophy. “Our goal is to organize Hercules Trophies all over the USA once the Tri-State event is well established.   In Europe we run Hercules Trophy events of 15,000 people. We are sure that with the help of CBS and the American Cancer Society we will succeed in this bold plan.”

We just announced the date of the American Cancer Society Hercules Trophy: Sept 28th. It will be located again in Liberty State Park with sweeping views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. What’s new and exciting is that this time we will have the Herculean Village inside the Historic CRRNJ Train Terminal site,” adds Nancy Lainez, Managing Director of Herculean North America. “Early bird registration for the Hercules Trophy is now open and we are confident that many teams will join the competition to support the American Cancer Society and the patients they serve.”

“With companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, BNP Paribas Fortis, Zodiac Aerospace, MetLife, LGE and thousands of other companies participating all over the world, we are convinced the US will become our biggest market,” concludes Inge Van Belle. “Americans love sports, fun, teamwork and competition and have a big heart for charity. That’s what we are all about.”
