Customer case: LC Packaging. LC Packaging, a longtime fan of the Hercules Trophy and the Herculean vibe, is the leading specialist in agri packaging and a global specialist in flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC’s). LC Packaging also offers its clients online tools that monitor and update the stock levels of their packaging. The +90 years old company is an ever growing organization, that employs over 1000 people in factories across the globe in Europe, Africa and Asia. By implementing the people planet profit paradigm, it has successfully gained credibility among both clients and suppliers while reducing its environmental impact. CSR, or corporate social responsibility, is valued highly within the company and sustainability is one of their top priorities.
In Belgium however, LC Packaging steps it up a notch. By participating in the Hercules Trophy year after year, the company shows clear proof of investing in its employees and that pays off: the average LC Packaging employee has been working for the company for over 15 years. They’re huge fans too, as Koen Slaets, Sales Director Benelux explains: “This is the fourth year we’ve participated and we’re definitely coming back next year! The Hercules Trophy in three words, that is fun, team spirit and being together.” When asked what’s so unique about the event, he states that it’s the amazing atmosphere and the magnitude of it, among other things. The history between LC Packaging and Herculean goes further than just the Hercules Trophy however, as LC Packaging also organized a tailor made mini Hercules event for its employees in 2015. The event consisted of several team activities combined with a lovely dinner, awards ceremony and party. As it turns out, LC Packaging is not only a global leading specialist in packing & wrapping, but an obvious expert in teambuilding and partying as well.
