SVS becomes MOEV and holds a brand new Apotheosis

SVS becomes MOEV and holds a brand new Apotheosis. Rebranding the yearly sports reunion for thousands of sport teachers? Link a brand new name to it? Herculean Alliance knows how to do it! Together with MOEV (the new name of SVS – Flemish School sports Foundation) we organised the Apotheosis in Ghent, Belgium.

The goal? Educate, inspire and motivate teachers concerning moving and physical education. The MOEV project “Sport moves your school 2.0” wants to stimulate teachers to break the sitting habit in the class rooom and realise a better mix of sitting, standing up, moving and sports for children at school.

The programme consisted of 4 themes : Motivation, Support, Expertise and Innovation. For each individual theme, there were a number of information sessions and workshops. The Belgian Minister of Education Hilde Crevits attended the event as well and was very enthusiastic about the new vibe. For the first time in the history of the Apotheosis, we organised an active competition with the genuine Herculean labours. The day ended with a networking drink and a smashing award ceremony.

Viviane Van Hemelrijck (MOEV): “Thanks to you, we can look back atto a successful 2018 edition of the MOEV Apotheosis, since SVS is named MOEV from now on. With a new and dynamic appearance, the MOEV Apotheosis, with about 1.200 participants, is hailed a great success. The information booths, with attractive educational material and fresh projects gave relevant info to the teachers. All of this combined with a wide spectrum of info and practical sessions made this day a smashing day in a relaxing and cosy atmosphere. Thanks to you, the future is now ready for a healthy lifestyle. We also experienced that an active school life is also fun, which is important for all students. We now want to maintain this active school culture carried by the entire school team. Thank you to all of you!”
